Why study Goju Ryu?
Over time regular Karateka can expect to gain:

Basically Goju ryu will increase you in every way if you train hard at it.

• As you hone your skills in Goju ryu not only will you become a much stronger person but you will also start to
develop an inner calm and relaxation, regular training and guidance develops things that you may not even
notice within yourself. For instance when you are training using the 'Hard' principle you will begin to realise that
with confidence comes the 'Soft' principle of Goju ryu, you will become relaxed in most situations and be able to
handle the situation in a controlled manner.
• People skills and communication, throughout your training you may realise that by letting out that steam
gathered from everyday life you are actually becoming a nicer person for people to be around,
thus the 'Soft' element comes into play again.
• Another great gain from Karate is inner wisdom, first the new things you learn will be counted as knowledge,
though this will develop as the mind does and will become in time wisdom, there for you to understand yourself.
Stamina and controlled breathing, many people do not realise that there are actually good and bad ways to
breathe, even in everyday life - Goju ryu concentrates on the right ways of powerful breathing, it may sound silly
to some but with correct breathing comes much more powerful techniques and extra oxygen pumped around your
